The town of Morong is situated on the northeastern coast of the province, near the China sea. On account of the lack of facilities for communication, Morong was seldom reached by the people from the neighboring towns.
Morong is bounded on its southeastern border by Bagac town; on the north by Subic town in Zambales; on the east by the central mountains of the province which end with Mt. Mariveles; and on the west by the China Sea.
The town was founded in 1607 by Fr. Rodrigo de San Miguel, who placed it under the protection of Our Lady of the Pillar.
In 1897, this was how the population of the town was distributed.
