THE BIRTH OF MORONG NEWS
Why Morong News?
Information, education, documentation, - these are the primary reasons behind the birth of Morong News, the first official publication of the Local Government of our beloved municipality.
In the face of social networking and online era, informing netizens and educating the town might be easy; but documentation is another thing.
Our municipality has undertaken and implemented numerous developmental projects, has gone through a lot of progress and has made history, but few are completely aware of these. This urged us to put up a publication which aims to cater to all types of readers. We want to document the progress of Morong through media for us to measure how far we have gone in our pursuit of total development for the people of Morong.
The Morong News deals with various reading materials and articles representing different facets and fields of human endeavours. It aims to offer not only informative and educational but also inspiring subject matter. It exposes interesting issues and entertaining topics for people from all walks of life.
This maiden issue of the Morong News is one effective means of reporting to our constituents how efficient the LGU is working for the prompt delivery of social services to the public. This too, is a way to reach the citizens who should really be the priority of our town when it comes to public service.
In addition, the newsletter highlights the plans, projects and accomplishments of the various departments and agencies of the municipality through quarterly issue starting with the October –December 2013 edition.
Morong’s priority is to achieve effective governance and sustainable development; to promote value formation in a cooperative manner; to bring out the best of our people inspired by our Lord Jesus Christ so we can make a difference and influence a better quality of life.
This publication is a proof of the never-ending drive towards improvement and progression that our LGU desires for the welfare of all. Rest assured that we will continue rendering quality services in the field of balanced and impartial journalism. This is just the beginning. We have a long way ahead of us. We hope and pray that this medium of exchange will be able to meet the expecations of the reading public.
Let’s continue to journey towards a progressive and well-developed municipality in Bataan. With confidence, let us anticipate the success of Morong.
